Day 11 (13 Sep 2015): Visit Luzern (Switzerland). Stay at Innsbruck (Austria)

1004-1155 Interlaken Ost to Luzern via train

1200-1345 Walk around Luzern

1350-1515 Lunch at McDonald's

1535-1600 Visit Lion's Monument

1735-1825 Luzern to Zurich via train

1840-2216 Zurich to Innsbruck (Austria)

On this morning, we checked out from our hotel at Wengen and took 3 trains to go to Luzern.

Here's a video of our short trip from our hotel at Wengen to the train station on the hotel's transport.

We sat at the back of this while taking that video.

 To get from Wengen to Luzern, we had to first take a train from Wengen to Lauterbrunnen, then transfer to another train from Lauterbrunnen to Interlaken Ost, then Interlaken Ost to Luzern.

Upon arrival, we stored our luggage bags at lockers (which costs us CHF 7 per locker).

Many years ago, back in 2007 when we went to Europe for our honeymoon, we actually visited Luzern and we enjoyed the place.  But due to my own stupidity, I deleted the photos which we took at Luzern before backing it up. So I have almost zero photos of our trip at Luzern back then, if not for some photos which our fellow tourmates sent me after I told them about my problem.

That's why when we were planning this trip to Europe, I just had to revisit Luzern again.  

It's a beautiful town.

After we were done walking around Luzern, we went to the supermarket at Luzern train station to buy some snacks and food to eat for our long train ride from Luzern to Innsbruck in Austria.

After days of eating European fare, I was craving for Asian food. So when I saw noodles and rice at the hot food section at the supermarket, I just had to buy it for my dinner.

It was late at night by the time we arrived at Innsbruck. Our hotel is ibis hotel just outside the Innsbruck train station.
